This Week's Favs: December 1

I'm baaacckkkk! I know, I skipped again last week, but at least I had a reason for that.

It was the day after Thanksgiving, which meant I was on a long-awaited vacation! Nothing is going to stop me from enjoying my vacation to the fullest. Not even picking out my favorite things and compiling them in list form.

Watch

Anime Crimes Division

A collaboration between Crunchyroll and Rocket Jump (the studio who made the insanely-popular Video Games High School series), Anime Crimes Division is a web series that answers the question: What would an otaku CSI look like? If you don't watch a decent amount of anime, this show might go over your head, but for those of us who know that the Dominator is from PsychoPass or that subs vs. dubs is an ever-present debate in the industry, this show is fantastic.

The first line that Detective Furaya asks Detective Diesel, his new partner, is "Which Yuri on Ice character has the juiciest butt?" If that made you laugh, you might just love this series.

Listen

Peek-a-Boo - Red Velvet

If this doesn't get stuck in your head and keep you dancing for days, then I feel sorry for you. Peek-a-Boo is the kind of upbeat jam I've come to expect from Red Velvet (who also released hits like Ice Cream Cake, Russian Roulette, and Red Flavor). The video that accompanies the song is strange, as are almost all of RV's videos, but a joy to watch. This time, the girls are some sort of serial killing gang that targets pizza delivery men. It's obscure but still filled with plenty of color, despite the dark theme.

Play

Battle Chef Brigade

This game is a perfect mix of puzzles and platforming and I love it! Not to mention it's essentially a game version of Iron Chef, which is probably one of my favorite shows ever. The battle venue is called Kitchen Colosseum, a direct homage to Iron Chef's Kitchen Stadium, and the master of ceremonies, Kamin, reveals mystery ingredients in a way almost identical to the esteemed Iron Chef Chairman. It's a great game if you're looking for something that's fun but not crazy intense or difficult.

Look

This week's there's some amazing new fanart pieces to look at. We've got another great look at Aomine from Kuroko no Basket, some great renditions of Wanna One's Ong Seongwoo, and chibi versions of Rat and Monkey from Juni Taisen: Zodiac War along the top. Underneath that are two beautiful winged versions of Victor and Yuuri from Yuri!!! on Ice. As always, you can click the image to go to the original source post and give the artists kudos there.
